Moonslinger was allowing her four pups to feed. To many, she was young to be a dominant female, and even younger to be producing litters. But so far her pups had survived, even though they might be a bit smaller than normal, and she was proud of that. However, she was extremely tired. Older dominant females would normally have mated now, but Moonslinger had no desire to bear another litter anytime soon.

Near the burrow, coming over the horizon are two meerkats, a male named Twip and a female named Kelly, the female is carrying a third. A 2 week old male pup, Meepers. They are looking for a mob to provide safety for their only surviving son. Kelly and Twip are nervous due to their history of only knowing cruel dominants but after the burrow raid and murders of their other 3 pups, they need to get their son someplace with more meerkats to protect him.

Moonslinger is blissfully unaware of the strangers that are approaching her burrow. However, last night, Moonslinger had a nightmare that Luchina had led the Anklebiters to come and kill her small family.

Thomas is happily feeding from his mother Moonslinger. He's unaware of his mother's dark past, but he doesn't need to know anyhow. All he knows is that he and his siblings don't get to see their mother much, but at least she always comes back with more milk for them to enjoy.

Sneaky Paw is also very aware of their situation and is worried about the pups... He had been bringing food to her so she could feed the pups, and almost lost his life several times. He's outside, and notices Twip and Kelly. He thinks he remembers them a little, but isn't sure, as it's been a while since the two disappeared from the Anklebiters. He gives them a friendly chirp.

Felix yawned as she awoke slowly. She wished she got to see her mom more, but in the end she never went to sleep with an empty stomach. However, there wasn't a lot of meerkats to stay and feed them during the day, so she got hungry a lot.

ooc: I'm not sure if they met Kelly and Twip but oh well

Kelly and Twip are started at the friendly chirp. Kelly sets Meepers down and slowly approaches Sneaky Paw. She chirps questionly, she wants to know if there is a safe place for her son.

Twip stays near Meepers and watches Sneaky Paw and Kelly...standing on guard against all possible threats..

Latched on to one of her mother's teats, Eejanaika merrily feeds, completely unaware her natal parents had fled from a mob of which 2 merciless leaders are at the helm, and that some day, they could come after her parents and exterminate herself and her siblings. For now though, all that matters to little Eejanaika is satisfying her hunger and getting to cuddle up with her natal family.

Moonslinger hears a small comotion from above and knows it is her job to see to what is going on. She trusts that they will be able to protect the precious key to survival of her family. moonslinger emerges to see a male and a female with a small pup. At first, she fears its the Anklebiters, but this doesn't appear to be the case. She thinks they could help with the raising of her pups, so she accepts the female, leaving the male up to her mate.

ooc: Ratties, I looked. Sneaky Paw immigrated into the Anklebiters before Kelly and Twip left.

bic: Sneaky Paw nods and chirps, saying that they welcome any newcomers. In fact, they have other pups below ground, belonging to him and his mate, Moonslinger... He is still suspecting where they came from, so he chirps, asking the two newcomers this...

Felix yawns. She's too young to really know what's going on above, but she can slightly smell them.

Eejanaika finishes feeding from her mother and places her tiny head down on the soft sand, her mouth agaped in a yawn. She's so stuffed it's made her feel lethargic. She quickly drifts off to sleep, not acknowledging the scents of the foriegners that are on the premises.

ooc: Okay I just wasn't sure...lol

Twip watches Moonslinger suspiciously as she accepts Kelly into the mob

Kelly chirps gratefully to Moonslinger and Sneaky Paw..She looks at Sneaky Paw, there is something familiar about him...Kelly looks at Twip and seeing his tension, she turns to Moonslinger and Sneaky Paws and chirps an apology...She explains that Twip has been a bit mistrustful since they were betrayed in their old mob by the dominant female, Luchina.

Meepers stays close to his father...to stay in the shade of his father's shadow...he peeps quietly...

Sneaky Paw perks up. He knew it! He chirps, explaining that they had escaped from the Anklebiters after it was discovered that Moonslinger was pregnant with their pups... One reason to form their own mob was to get away from it all, so Kelly and Twip are honestly more than welcome here. It's then that he notices Meepers and peeps curiously, smiling...

Thomas finished feeding as well, feeling nice and content. He stretches out and yawns as well. He curls up and decides to join his sister in a nice nap.

Kelly looks at Sneaky Paw and Moonslinger, they came from the Anklebiters. She chirps excitedly, how are Penelope, Cupid, and the others? (They don't know that Luchina killed Cupid and don't know anything about Voldemort) Are they safe?

Twip Picks up Meepers and brings him over to Kelly to listen as well...the only thing he has missed about the Anklebiters is some of the nice members...

Moonslinger is surprised to know these new members came from that horrible place she had just left. That meant these guys were family to her. Survivors of that horrible meerkat Luchina. Getting hungry, she issued lead calls, but was unsure as to who would stay at the burrow.

Felix heard her mother leaving and whined, knowing they would most likely not receive food all day.

Kelly chirps, she wants to get Meepers all settled in so she will be happy to babysit

Twip nods, he'll go and bring her back some food

Sneaky Paw chirps... He's not quite sure what he wants to do... It would be a good idea to have two meerkats stay back at the burrow, but also good to have three foraging... He decides to stay back with his children again...

Thomas sleeps on, unaware his mother was leaving for a long time again today.

Kelly picks up Meepers and heads into the burrow...it doesn't take too long to find the chamber with Moonslinger's pups..she hopes Moonslinger doesn't mind if she puts Meepers in with her pups so he isn't lonely in a new burrow..

Meepers is astonished to see pups when his mother puts him down inside the burrow, he hasn't seen other pups in days, not since his 2 siblings disappeared that one day and some rocks fell and hid him from view...He peeps curiously and is nuzzled reassuringly by his mom..

Twip follows Moonslinger out forages, keeping a lookout for predators and other threats.

Eejanaika dozes heavily, also unaware her mother will be away from the burrow along with the rest of the mob most of the day.

Meepers yawns, tired out from the trip and curls up next to Moonslinger's pups to keep warm.

Kelly smiles, contented. She goes outside and suns herself...Knowing that Sneaky Paws and Moonslinger came from the Anklebiters too make her more comfortable...they would only leave if they didn't want to be ruled by vicious dominants, so they must be kind dominants, something her and Twip were starting to think was impossible.

Moonslinger foraged first, her pups making her incredibly ravenous. She dug into the ground and found a small gecko- a perfect first bite. She consumes it quickly while looking up at Twip. She feels safe knowing the male is on guard while her and the others forage. She knows her pups are in good hands.

Felix sees the bigger pup being put down next to them. She crawls over to him and sniffs him, then swats him playfully.

Meepers looks up at Felix and smiles, playfully swats back.

Something catches Twip's eye but when he looks it turns out to be just a couple of drongos nearby...nothing dangerous so goes back to scanning the sky and horizon alternatively...
